Monthly AC Update: Economic Development

 The group spent the spring and early summer laying the groundwork - identifying new members to add to the AC and future workgroups, deliberating on the scope we will tackle within the broad sector of economic development, and discussing the problems as seen by AC members and those they serve. This summer, the members are moving into action. They have/are:

  • Recruited four nonprofits and a quasi-governmental agency to join the AC

  • Developed three workgroups

  • Recruiting AC members to lead the workgroups

  • Recruiting nonprofits and community members with lived experiences (adults and youth) into the workgroups

  • Learning about innovative structures/tools for equitable economic development
