Announcing New Leadership Structure and Enhanced Support on More for Memphis

We are excited to share an important announcement regarding the future of Seeding Success and our collective work in the More for Memphis coalition. This new leadership structure meets this transformative moment for our city, state, and the communities we serve as we move into the implementation phase of the More For Memphis plan. 

Mark Sturgis, the founder and CEO of Seeding Success, will continue to oversee statewide system-building efforts and national partnerships, bringing his extensive experience in educational transformation and collective impact to drive systemic change across Tennessee.

Jamilica Burke, a proud Memphis native with a deep commitment to community-driven solutions, has been promoted to President of Seeding Success. In her new role, Jamilica will focus on local strategy and partnerships, with a special emphasis on leading the More for Memphis coalition. Her leadership will be instrumental in aligning resources, fostering collaboration, and driving forward the goals of More for Memphis to improve economic mobility and quality of life for all residents.

As the lead convener of the More for Memphis coalition, Seeding Success is dedicated to advancing our shared vision of a more equitable and prosperous Memphis. This new structure allows us to harness the strengths of both local and statewide efforts, ensuring a more comprehensive approach to aligning policies, practices, and resources for the benefit of our community.
